IM9-40T CARBON FIBER CONSTRUCTION

The IM rating indicates that the rod is lighter and stiffer than a rod with a lower IM rating. IM6 is the general "standard" for a flexible rod, but slightly heavier. Our IM9 strand gives the rod more lightness and rigidity. The higher the tonnage (T) of graphite, the stiffer the graphite and the more vibrations are transmitted through the fishing rod. Our 40T (tonne) rod is more durable than 50 or 60 ton rods, yet still very light and sensitive, especially when used with braided line. Unlike traditional carbon braiding techniques, the carbon braiding used is reversed inside and out, which strengthens and ensures full rod power.
