Synonymous with performance, the WAR HOUND baitcast rod is designed to offer anglers increased sensitivity and responsiveness. It provides incredible casting distance and accuracy. The careful selection of components in our WAR HOUND baitcast rod increases the feel by efficiently and easily transferring more energy and sensitivity through the rod to the angler’s hand.

MONOCOQUE CARBON HANDLE
WAR HOUND rods combine a hollow carbon monocoque handle with a Fuji® reel seat to achieve up to 25% more sensitivity than traditional handle designs. In addition to providing superior lightness, monocoque handles provide direct contact with the core of the rod. They transmit the finest vibrations from the lure or bites directly into the angler’s palm.
IM9-40T CARBON FIBER CONSTRUCTION
The carbon index (standard HR – laminated surfaces / IM intermediate modulus – fishing rod / HM high modulus – rocket / THM very high modulus – bicycle frames) indicates the properties of the carbon fiber in the ratio of elasticity and tension. An IM index corresponds to a carbon that resists tension and still provides good flexibility. IM 9 (Intermediate Modulus) indicates that the rod is lighter and stiffer than a rod with a lower IM number. The general “norm” for a rod with good flexibility is IM6, however, this carbon will be slightly heavier.
Our IM9 strand gives the rod more lightness and stiffness. The higher the tonnage (T) of graphite, the stiffer the graphite and the more vibrations are transmitted through the rod. Our 40T (tons) rod is more durable than 50 or 60 ton rods. It will still be very light and sensitive, especially when used with braided line. Unlike traditional carbon braiding techniques, the carbon braiding used in our WAR HOUND rod is reversed inside and out, which strengthens and ensures the rod’s full power.
